I began my racing career in a quarter midget when I was 5 years old.  I was a member of the River City Quarter Midget Association in Austin, Texas.  I began as a novice and worked my way up to the Lt. 160 class.

In the beginning we only raced at the local tracks.  As time went on we became more competitive, we were winning more races and setting higher goals for our team. Our last  year in quarter midgets we took our team on the road.  We not only won our local championship but also the regional championship.

We have now been given the opportunity to drive in Allison Legacy Series.  I am so thankful for all of the support that has been given to me by my family and sponsors.

Our belief throughout this journey is to have a goal, our goal is, AIM HIGH.

First victory: Seventeen-year old Charles Aikin of Round Rock captured his first-ever Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) Allison Legacy checkered flag last Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway. It was his first victory in three years in the Allison Legacy class.

Aikin, who qualified third with a time of 17.366 seconds, drew the pole position for the feature on the Invert draw and held off Rusty Mirth of Austin and points leader Charles Evans Jr. of Friendswood as they raced to the finish line.

Aikin became the fourth different winner in as many races to win the TSRS Allison Legacy circuit this season. The Legacys will return to action again on May 23 at Thunderhill.

Aikin Racing had another great night!  Our qualifying effort was not so great which ended up making us start in the back, the back meaning last. We had a 25 lap feature race, Charles took the lead on lap 17 and held on to win the race. Again we thank God first, then we want to thank all the people that we have met along the way, those that believed in us.  HUGE thanks goes out to South Bay and Terry's Body Shop this would not be possible without your help and support.
